Our strengths are apparent in these key areas:

1. Unique fluorescent GTPLAST-melting pigments permitting coloration of thin olefin based films in single and multilayer packaging.

2. Next generation GTGEN-chemistry enabling unprecedented light stability of formaldehyde-free fluorescent pigments without compromising other performance attributes.

Our products are classed by series. Products from the same series have the same chemistry and therefore the same performance and applications. Each series has a large range of shades.

The major difference between dyes and pigments is that the former need to be dissolved completely in the application medium while pigments need only to be dispersed in the final application mixture to their target particle size.

The advantage of our fluorescent pigments above dyes and other pigments is their ease of dispersion in the application medium. They are all of “STIR-IN” quality - only sufficient mixing and wetting is needed in order to homogenize the formulation. No modification to the particle size is required. At the same time they can withstand harsh mixing environments without loss of quality or brilliance. In general, pigments are preferred to dyes due to their better light stability, good migration behavior and to be independent of the applied solvent or binder and counter compatibility problems.

GTDAYLIGHT SERIES - STIR-IN DAYLIGHT FLUORESCENT PIGMENTS


GTDAYLIGHT fluorescent colors are activated by both the invisible UV and visible components of daylight, resulting in increased brilliance and strength compared to conventional colors. They are ideal for use in emergency and safety applications, and even in the fields of advertising and product packaging, where there is demand for the presentation of products in a striking and eye-catching manner to distinguish themselves from the competition. GTDAYLIGHT-100 Series

GTDAYLIGHT-100 Series is designed especially for paints, inks, rubbers and other applications which demand high solvent, water and heat stability. As they conserve their particle size and also to some extent their shape in the final application, obtaining clean intermediate shades is only recommended through mixing neighboring shades. However, GTDAYLIGHT-109 UV BLUE can be mixed with all other colors in the range in order to obtain brighter shades under UV light or to reduce the color strength without losing brilliance.

GTDAYLIGHT-200 Series

GTDAYLIGHT-200 Series is designed especially for waterborne paints, waterborne inks and other applications, which demand high water and heat stability. The solvent stability in aliphatic solvents is sufficient. As they conserve their particle size and also to some extent
their shape in the final application, obtaining clean intermediate shades is only recommended
through mixing neighbouring shades. However, GTDAYLIGHT-109 UV BLUE can be mixed with all other colors in the range in order to obtain brighter shades under UV light or to reduce the color strength without losing brilliance.

GTDAYLIGHT-600 Series

GTDAYLIGHT-600 Series is based on a modified polyester-amide resin technology designed
especially for paper, textile, paints, paper, crayons and target coating. They have good water fastness and limited heat stability of up to 60 °C. As with GTDAYLIGHT-100 Series, GTDAYLIGHT-600 Series conserve their particle size at room temperature and to some extent their shape in the final application. Obtaining clean intermediate shades is only recommended through mixing neighbouring shades.

GTGEN-100 SERIES - FORMALDEHYDE FREE

GTGEN-100 Series are formaldehyde-free and excel in all their properties against other solvent resistant formaldehyde-based fluorescent pigments. They are based on a hybrid resin technology designed especially for textile, paints, inks, rubbers, plastics, PVC, olefins aerosols and other applications that demand high water and solvent resistance and heat stability up to 240 °C.

GTSOL-100 Series

GTSOL-100 carrier is based on modified melamine-formaldehyde resin designed especially for
solvent demanding aerosols applications which demand high solvent and water stability. They conserve their particle size and also to some extent their shape in the final application. Thus, obtaining clean intermediate shades is only recommended through mixing neighbouring shades. However, GTSOL-109 UV BLUE can
be mixed with all other colors in the range in order to obtain brighter shades under UV light
or to reduce the color strength without losing brilliance.

GTSOL-300 Series

GTPLAST SERIES - MELTING FLUORESCENT PIGMENTS

GTPLAST Melting Fluorescent Pigments melts in the final application without being dissolved and form distinct nano phases. This technology insures highest color strength with a high degree of heat stability, in addition to ilow migration, efflorescence and plate out characteristics. GTPLAST Melting Fluorescent Pigments have the crucial high compatibility with Olefins.

Our GTPLAST-100 & 200 series is the most advanced technology for coloring HDPE, LDPE, PP and TPU (extrusion of masterbatches for use in injection molding). No other product can match their performance in the following aspects - low sticking on the screw of the extruder, low plate out on the injection molding tools and low odor of the masterbatches and final product. There is also no other fluorescent melting pigment in the market, which allow the production of thin colored layers (films) in blow molding.

Now, double layered bottles with a thin fluorescent layer on the outside and an internal barrier layer (white HDPE) is possible thanks to this new technology. With a maximum concentration of only 1% and recommended operatiing temperature of 140 – 150 °C, optimal flexibility and performance can be achieved.

GTPLAST-100 Series
GTPLAST-100 carrier is based on a modified polyester resin technology designed especially for coloring
Olefin (HDPE, MDPE, LDPE, PP, cPP) and TPU polymers revealing high heat stability, excellent plate out and migration performance. Due to the melting characteristic and their existence as final nano dispersed phases in the colored Olefins and the unlimited compatibility of the different shades with each other, all colors may be mixed without limitation to obtain intermediate shades in Olefins and TPU.

GTPLAST 100 Series

GTPLAST-200 Series
GTPLAST-200 Series is a range of formaldehyde-free fluorescent melting pigments, with very similar properties to the GTPLAST-100 series and designed for coloring Olefin (HDPE, MDPE, LDPE, PP, cPP) and TPU polymers. While the carrier of the GTPLAST-100 pigment is optimized for the colors Lemon, Orange,
Orange-Red and Red, the GTPLAST-200 carrier is optimized for the colors Pink and Magenta.

It is not recommended to mix more than 10% of both series GTPLAST-100 and GTPLAST-200 for obtaining in-between color shades. Such intermediate colors are optimally obtained by mixing products from the same series. All products of the GTPLAST-200 series can be mixed among each other and used in applications following the same recommendations and boundaries given for the GTPLAST-10 series.

GTPRINT SERIES - FLUORESCENT EMULSIONS FOR OFFSET & UV CURING PRINTING

Through intensive cooperation with high ranking research centrums at different universities worlwide,
we have develped the GTPRINT-100 series Fluorescent Emulsions for pure, brilliant OFFEST and UV curing prints with the optimum color strength and compatibility with the OFFSET and UV curing process. GTPRINT-100 Series is free of mineral oils and volatile organic compounds (VOC) and has been specifically designed to fit the high demands of OFFSET and UV curing printing applications, producing a very thin printing layer on the coated substrates requiring colorants with very high color strength. Finely dispersed high viscosity and highly filled emulsions are obtained with the required high color strength and related necessary submicron corpuscular pigment nature. High tack stability, good emulsification performance and excellent setting properties round up the performance of the GTPRINT-100 range.


GTPRINT-100 is unique in its multivalent application and offers an optimal base for the development of OFFSET inks as well as of UV Curing inks. Due to the corpuscular nature of the GTPRINT-100 emulsions, distinct products of the series are better mixed only with neighboring products in order to obtain intermediate shades. GTPRINT-109 UV BLUE can be mixed with all other products of this series in order to obtain more brilliant colors under UV light or to reduce the color strength of the shade without loss on brilliance.

GTPRINT-500 Series - Fluorescent Soluble Toners

We have developed the GTPRINT-500 series as soluble toners in solvent-born formulations to bring brilliance to Flexographic Inks, Gravure inks and drop on demand industrial inkjet applications. The solubility of the GTPRINT-500 toners and the full compatibility of the different shades with each other, all colors from this range can be mixed together without limitation to obtain intermediate shades.

The supplied products are to be completely dissolved (for example in a part of the formulation) and to remain soluble in the final printing formulation. For this reason, the compatibility of the GTPRINT-500 carrier with other parts of the formulation like printing resins and film formers is crucial. Designed formulations should be tested beforehand for compatibility. Mixed parts should remain in solution without the formation of any sedimentation during a given time period depending on application demand.

Suitable solvent-borne formulations contain no free particles and are therefore suitable for ink jet applications. The GTPRINT-500 toners are coarse powders and free of solvents or volatiles. GTPRINT-500 toners are suitable for flexographic, gravure and in industrial ink jet printing. Powder coating is another major application of the GTPRINT-500 series, where the particles are not dissolved but melted onto the coated surface forming a tough fluorescent film.

GTSSF Solid-State Fluorescent Pigments
While the majority of fluorescent pigments are composed of solid solutions of fluorescent dyes and additives bound in specialty resins, solid-state fluorescent pigments are fluorescent in their crystalline form. However, the “STIR-IN” advantage, which is a result of the fine particle size and the resin coating of the other pigments in our range, is not present in this product range. GTSSF pigments need to be dispersed in the final application formulation or in a part of the formulation in order to achieve their optimal color strength. They need to be stabilized in the target dispersion. Main applications are stationary, crayon pens, marking, printing inks and Non-Destructive-Testing (NDT).

GTSSF 100 Series

 

 

GT UV Light Fluorescent Colorants
These are fluorescent colorants that do not have a body color and are thus hidden to the naked eye under daylight conditions. UV light fluorescent colorants can be seen only under UV light (black light) but do have different shades. As these colorants use the same technology applied in the other GT series, we have included them in the relevant series. In the following table, a summary of all UV fluorescent colorants is listed.

The products codes, which contain the UV suffix between the product code and the shade, indicate that the shade can only be seen under UV light, not under daylight. It must be noted that all the below listed
products have different physical and chemical properties and they cannot be mixed with other products within the UV fluorescent color range.
